Has anyone driven through it today?

How much time was added to your journey?

I'm going from Cardiff to Bristol tomorrow at 1pm ish and can't afford to be late

Yesterday, it added around 4 hours to my trip!

Today, I'm reliably informed its adding around 25minutes off peak, and upto an hour at peak times.

You could always go up the A449 & across the A40.......

I just re-read your post, I now realise your going the other way!

Allow half an hour extra, or, go up the A470, across the A40 & back down the A449 - which will probably take an hour extra but you'd have a far nicer drive imo!

2 Hours? you were lucky! It took me nearly 4.5 hours to travel from Magor to Cwmbran! (a trip that should take no more than about 40minutes in an HGV)
