Hows about one of you give me a hand?

Good evening,
I've got this laptop here that needs sorting. Its a Dell Inspiron 9 Mini (theres the first issue) that when turned on its prompting a missing operating system. Now I've tried to install Windows 7 from a USB drive but when I go to select the hard disk to install it on it comes up as the capacity being 0gb. I've opened it up and the drive seems to be inserted correctly.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem?

How would I go about checking this? Normally with a Laptop I'd just shove it into my 2.5" SATA USB reader and check via there but this is a completely different ballgame.

Just plug it into the system you are using now and see if it is recognised correctly on that.

Its not a conventional drive, its one of those poorly designed flash drives.
