I have an edinburgh to london, return ticket i need to get rid of as I can't cancel it and the person it was intended for no longer needs it

any ideas ?

also, the persons name is on the ticket, well it will be, it is one of the 'print at home' ones
I take it that doesn't really matter as long as whoever ends up with it has the ticket printed off ?

If you stop putting spaces before question marks, full stops and exclamation marks, your ticket will disappear and the money will appear in cash right before you.

Is that true for all tickets Raymond lin? Me and a mate bought return tickets to Newquay and booked a bit in advance and he said we couldn't get a refund :(

can't get a refund for advance tickets.....which is what I have
is there any situation where they MUST give you a refund ?
I think I read on virgin, BA or some airline website that if you can't travel because a family member is ill then they have to refund your ticket

is there anything like this for train tickets ?

Bereavement is always a good catch all, tell them you can't make the journey any more and are really hurting for the money right now as a result of said bereavement. Might not work but eh, worth a shot.

I thought print at home ones u have to go and exchange them anyway at the station?

depends. Not always.

Just kill with fire. Or, say that you had your leg amputated recently due to someone killing it with fire at an OcUK meet (there was a spider on it) and therefore you can no longer make the trip. If they ask for proof, go to the OcUK meet and put a spider on your leg and wait for the incoming nukes and all the fire :p
