I'm in the process of putting together a list of things to buy for a new build, including an i5 2500k, but GFX card is the one thing I am undecided on.

I have around £300 budget for the graphics card alone, so what is the best card for that money?

I've considered the new EVGA 2.5GB card that is one penny shy of my budget, but I'm not sure if that will be overkill considering I only play MMO games and the occasional FPS, though I do want the card to be fairly futureproof as this build will need to last me at least 1 year, possibly even 18 months.

Interesting. I hadn't even considered that card.

So, in that price range, which of the two are better; SUPER OC 560ti or MSI 6950?

Equal. However as you intend to keep the card for a long time, I'd get the 6950 as it has double vram and has a very good cooler aswell.

Okay, thanks guys. What wattage power supply should I be looking at for that? Will 550W be enough, or should I look at 650?

Get the best you can afford. 850 of you can as it's an investment rather than a luxury expenditure. Saves you from always upgrading.

Have a look at Silverstone,XFX and OCZ.

I have the Super OC 560ti and I play WoW on maximum settings in DX11 and I feel I have no shortage of vRAM.

A good thing about the SOC is you can just crank it upto 1GHz and you've got a card easily on par with the 570 for a lot less ;)

You could try GTX460 in SLI aswell, beats the 6950 however there's more likelihood of technical probs with SLI setups, so I'd say the 6950/GTX560Ti/GTX570
