PvP all the way, ganking, ganking and more ganking, town raids, griefing whatever, bring it on, its more fun then questing. I just hope there is an area that will be similar to Southshore and Tareen Mill, thats where the real world PvP started in WoW.

I don’t think he played on a pvp server, when he said he hates pvp and getting ganked, I think he meant in battlegrounds etc??
 
See I watch the TOR trailers and I see epic battles between Sith & Jedi, that's your PvP servers right there.

Meanwhile on the PvE servers you have Sith & Jedi living together without that open world conflict. You probably have to flag yourself so the enemy can even attack you.

For me the conflict between the Jedi and Sith should not be able to be turned off by clicking a button.

You only get ganked if you are on a PvP server or if you have flagged yourself for PvP on a PvE server (in which case you asked for it)

You can't ge ganked in a BG as the aim is to PvP.

Always amazes me that you get the QQ'ers moaning about being ganked whilst questing etc.....Why the **** did you join a PvP server then? Did you expect they would leave you alone because you weren't causing them any harm??

Overreact much? all he said was he doesn't like being ganked. Maybe it was his first time on a PvP server? or maybe all his friends were on a PvP server? maybe you should berate him a bit more, call him a carebear or something, just so your stereotypical Warcraft PvP player response to ganking is complete.

wow talk about over reacting at least what he said was a proper response lol ..if a bit colorful. PvE players ..do seem to whine the most
 
battleground was the wrong word to use didnt mean it in that context ..... bloody hell.

I just don’t think he likes the idea of being ganked that’s all, not a big deal!
 
Got my Key instantly with Amazon, my missus ordered hers a day later and also got her key within a minute of ordering game. (both were standard versions both from Amazon)

Some people like to play these games with an added element of danger - but not to the point where you are regularly "slaughtered" by gangs of people.

I'm going to go back to UO (mainly because it was the first, but was one of, if not the best MMORPG).
In UO you had danger from "monsters" - the further a field you went the more dangerous the environment and the harder the fight.
Also as soon as you left the protection of town you could be attacked by others.
The important word here is "could".
It didn't mean that whenever you set foot out of town you were immediately "ganked" by people.
It meant there was an additional element of danger.

What we see from the "players of today" is groups of people hanging around and killing "the single ememy" and loving every second of what they have done.

There is a big difference between PvP and "ganking".
 
You could probably more accurately describe ganking as killing someone who has no chance of winning against you. Which is just a bit sad really.

Nothing wrong with a bit of danger when you're out and about, but levels in mmos just make a mockery of the whole thing.
 
Its pretty simple if you don't want to be ganked do not join a PvP server and for god sake stop whining about it like a 5 year old kid.


No one force you to join a PvP server.
No PvP player ever bitches about players joining a PvE server
Almost all PvE player bitch whine cry about PvP servers ..even tho they do not have to join it.

Think PvE players hate having other players playing in any way that differers from them. selfish much?
