I'm looking for a holiday which is more than just sitting on the beach or seeing the sights. Something based around an activity such as rafting or canoeing rather than biking and treking.

I have a maximum of 9 days for this trip and will be going with a mate.

Anyone done anything like this before?

Whilst I may be going out on a limb here, I will wager one eating of a hat that someone somewhere has gone on holiday and done an activity such as the ones you've mentioned.

:p.

I went on a few http://www.pgl.co.uk/pglweb holidays when I was younger, but I imagine that you're too old for that. :p

Look up information about Interlaken, Switzerland. It's the extreme sport capital of Europe. You can do everything there, I imagine there'll be a tour operator that lumps a few of them together.
I only did canyoning when I was there (lack of funds) but it was great fun. The town is amazing as well, just full of people there to have a wicked sick awesome time dude! Rock on.

I really hope you're right!

I've been looking at the pgl site earlier. Technically I'm too old but mentally I'm just about right :)

Skiing/Snowboarding!

Lots of fun :)

I do that most years and fancy something a little different. I think I'm going boarding in Feb :)

You can do various things such as mountain biking and camel trekking in the atlas mountains near marrakesh. I'm going camel trekking this november but only for a few days.

Watersports trip to france Ardeche I think the name of the place was white water canoeing & rafting plus windsurfing and sailing twas an awesome trip or as others have
said skiing (None of that boring, slow and piste destroying boarding!{Thats right I hate you guys[but I digress]}) I can reccomend Whistler, Keystone Colorado, Tinges, Val D'Isere & Saalbach.

Define adventure.....

1. Snowboarding / Skiing

2. I visited Australia for 5 weeks a couple of years go, Bungee jump, Rafting, Sky Dive, Fraser Island, Whitesundays..surfing...christmas in another country....great ocean road....new years in Sydney...that's adventure ? :)

My first posts says what I want to do and how long I've got to do it :)

That sounds ideal. Skiing/boarding will be next year however technically I only learned to board a couple of years ago and until then was a blade/skier. Never been to anywhere except Europe skiiing so America/Canada is on the cards over the next couple of years.

Do a sailing holiday, they are awesome!

I've never done any sailing. Can these holidays be done without any prior experience?

I once went outside, that was a bit of an adventure holiday.

Sounds scary, yet exciting!!!
