Apparently the UK will get it on monday, so im not sure whats going on, But if you want it now, find the Sony Ericsson X10i_2.1.B.0.1_CUST-DE GENERIC 1235-7836 - by arkedk frimware and flash with flash tool, then update with seus to 2.3.3 - In doing this i cant see any physical way the firmware for the UK being any different, As my 2.3.3 Says in the service menu thats its a World Generic 2.3.3, so i dunno.

OK thanks for the info. Will give that a go if I get a chance, otherwise I'll just wait until Monday. Another few days will make no difference.

Apparently the reason for this is that each region is optimized, which i dont believe for a second, as how can they optimize it for some many different places, i havent noticed anything out of place on mine yet - Although with that said ill probably Flash a generic uk 2.1 and update to 2.3 once the UK one does arrive.

I have 2.3.3 on my X10, i was running the german generic 2.1, took me a while to get it to work, had to uninstall and re install seus for it to work.

So far its really great, smooth, and quite fast, ive also installed the new market, the only thing not working is the panorama app.

I wish mine was smooth and fast, mines like a freaking slug, then again i do have an sd card full of...well crap (looks shifty) lol, so that could be it.

Im still not buying into this region optimization crap i keep hearing on XDA either, a firmware is a firmware in my eyes, custom roms arnt optimized for 1 area and yet people have no issue using those, makes me wonder what idiots are lurking at XDA sometimes.

Edit/// Doomlord has already made a Pre-Rooted 2.3.3 firmware lol, wont be long till we can root ourselfs.

To be honest im half tempted to drop back to 2.1, 2.3.3 is extremely laggy at the moment for me and i cant work out why - Also incall volume doesnt seem to be any louder, so they havent fixed that.

Well, I don't really see the point in going from something I know works fine to something that is new, bound to be bloated, and restricted.

I was the same with android 2.2 (froyo?), I waited for some good ROMS and along came a wolf.

Worked out why mine was slow, bloody Gmail syncing contacts, for some odd reason i had 7 of each contact on my phone, and Gmail wouldnt stop syncing, so i had to turn that off, stupid thing.

Anyways a little update for you guys, whats been released is only 10% of whats to be done. Link for your viewing pleasure

It's not the sd card, as i have a 32gig one on mine full, and it smooth for me.

I'm also loving the battery life now, i have used it from early this morning including 2 hours of mp3 use, and it has only gone down by just over 10%.

Your not gonna believe it, But we already have the Bravia Engine fully working in 2.3.3, awesome work by the devs, now we just need a full root..There are plenty of PRE rooted, but nobody has done it for a stand alone program.

Right heres the situation regarding root for 2.3.3, Theres no known workarounds or exploits at present to make a standalone root program, the best alternative is pre-rooted 2.3.3 roms, which for all intent and purposes does the job fine, just means forget about getting a generic region FW or UK one or whatever...As it stands i think Wolf is ahead of the game with an allready rooted and tweaked and full 100% bravia.

Edit3 Anyway went ahead and followed his instructions, now running 2.3.3 wolf edition, and its freaking flying plus its rooted!! woo now i can crack on and get it back to the way 2.2 was.

So what do you think?

Personally i love it, yea its a faff getting it but its actually worth it, as my phone now looks and behaves similar to the 2.2 wolfs rom :) so im happy about that, battery life is totally changed in 2.3.3 - 100% 13 hours ago, and im down to 69%, but this is still with the rom settling in and so on..But still 13 hours and down to 69% is miles better than 2.2 - Plus ive installed around 32 things, messed with settings, took photo's, messages, 2 phone calls :) Cant ask for more..well i can i want an Arc now lol.

Im still on stock 2.3 as I have been away fishing for the weeknd. 2 days and I still have 49% battery left lol. Cant believe it. I have been emailing, texting and had a look on facebook. Also browsed the web for a bit and made a lot of phone calls. Amazing battery life.
I will be going to Wolfs when I get time through the week.....or I may stick to stock for a bit.

One thing about stock I have noticed and really pee's me off is the lack of the "Select all" Button in email, mine just says "Deselect all" But I do like the pane view in landscape mode. :)

Looks like the UK Generic update is now available.

My phone is notifying me that I need to connect to a PC to update the software.... Will have to wait until I get home from work now.
