30 Pro, fine for me, i'm not a massive downloader, and if i need to, i just DL it off peak. I get superb latency too, search my posts in this thread if your interested.

Yeah thats a cheaper price than BT and I'm wondering if I can get away with 30gb (pretty sure I could) .... you got me wondering now :confused:

Hey guys,

I'm considering BT Infinity's 'unlimited' option, is it really that merciless on torrents at peak times or only if you're ridiculous in your usage at that time?

Constant. Basically means no P2P before midnight.

My speed has almost doubled tonight. :eek:

Hmmmm ok

I'm debating whether to go for it, or go for BE and hope that they release their fibre option soon. I know they mentioned 'sometime' this year, but I need to sort the internet now as I'm moving house soon

Edit: Oh and does that affect online games at all? i.e. Bad Company, LOTRO, Rift etc? What about Steam?

My usage is 98.89gb, I don't know how people get to near 1000gb, not going to comment on what I think about it.

Not to go into too much detail, but by process of elimination i've managed to determine that theres still a good number of films in my purchased dvd collection that they havent released a HD version of yet

I'm not even sure it's physically possible to watch 1TB/month, at least at 720p. Guessing it's just people getting Sickbeard to update their collections.

The BT website says that my exchange (Ealing) is ready for BT infinity, but it is still not available for me when it checks my landline and says there are no plans for it to be done in the next 6 months. I'm guessing the streets still need cabling etc. but surely they are bringing it in sooner than that?

Dont think every cabinet connected to an infinity enabled exchange is going to be upgraded.

Probably will be, BT have had an upsurge in profits because of infinity.. nobody uses landlines anymore its all about broadband

Which exchange are you connected to in Ealing? We're on the Perivale one which should be getting done before year end!

Thank Christ its just not me then. I've been looking at other ISP's all evening and the best deal I find is BE Internet unlimited deal at £22 pcm.

Will I still be subject to BT's traffic management/shaping if I go with their Infinity package? I'm guessing by some of the screenshots above the answers no but I don't want to get caught out.
