Sad story but who knows what else contributed to the DVT. It’s something we all should be aware of when sitting around for long periods of time.

He should have got him a wii/kinect.

It is a danger, much the same as sitting there watching TV for 16 hours cause do similar, or sitting on a plane for 16 hours, etc. The parents are right to highlight the risks, and its good that it has got to the frontpage of a major daily newspaper, even if it has been sensationalised a little.

Some classic moments in that. Apparently the makers got Blizzard in and whilst they were fooling around online on a server, some douchebag tried to kill the south park team. The blizzard person used a 'uber super death' mod move to get rid of the douche player and all the other Blizzard people got into an argument as the super death move was deemed highly immoral...! South park team thought this was funny so based the story on it

Yep. I don't mind if he uses gaming as an example to get people to realise they are sitting still too much. Just as watching TV is but you would never read "TV watcher Chris" :rolleyes:

But I bet the guy didn't exactly choose the headline himself.
