Any good civilisation collapse type shows?

Im looking for stuff similar to The Walking Dead and Jericho, preferably with less survivors like The Walking Dead, recommend films as well if you like but im hoping there's some good shows i've missed?

but zombie bits actually not bad. Was shown over 5 nights. Usually shown on E4 around Halloween but sure you could get hold of it somewhere.

28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later.
Children of Men.
I am Legend.

Other than the TV shows already mentioned I cannot think of any others at the moment.

Battlestar Galactica? might not be exactly what you are after, but 12 worlds get decimated and there are only about 50,000 survivors. Also it's an epic show.

I remember a show called "The Last Train" or something similar on the BBC a fair few years ago, can't say I remember how good it was, or that you could find it anywhere but its another option.

I would disagree, I thought the film was.... ok at best, it tries to delivery what is in the book, but fails, it alters some of the more shocking elements, and does not convery the farther son relationship anywhere near as well. Read the book, its much better, though still like marmite for most.

Film: Threads is an old british film that shows how life would be (in Sheffield) following a nuclear strike. Very grim...and free as it's on google films:

I just remembered another show called Jeremiah, it's a bit more like what i was after, it was cancelled after only two seasons like Jericho, can't remember how good it was though...

The follow on Caprica I think would be more suitable.

Strangely enough when I saw the title I immediatly thought Jericho and Walking Dead.

Can't really think of any others that are good off the top of my head, tho stretching a point a bit possibly Cape Wrath.

yeah, I managed to get hold of a copy but it wasnt every released onto DVD :-(
