Diablo 3 will let players buy and sell items for real money

Last free 2 play MMO type game I played I spent £300 in a week... No not league of legends, I've spent more than that but it has been 2 months :P

If Blizzard say its fine and people want to spend their money that way, I say let them.

I have no intention of spending cash on items though. I already spent £130 on a Big Blizzard Bear for my WoW account. One insane pixel purchase per lifetime is enough! :o

I won't be doing any PVP so it doesnt bother me. And you never know, might luck into some uber rare legendary must have item and make a few quid!

Oh my, constant connection and now this?

Looks like after all these years of waiting for a follow up to the awesomeness that was D2 I will not be buying D3.

Congrats Blizzard, I knew D3 was bound to be disappointing, but Jesus H Christ, you've outdone yourselves.

Will i be buying anything? No. Though being able to sell unwanted items to the sad folk sits fine with me.

I'd rather have Blizzard control the sale of items than for it to go 'underground'.

Can I ask why you think this?

It helps regulate a market which happens in every online mmo/rpg. The fact that I can easily sell stuff I farm without fear of a failed transaction or a locked bnet/ebay account is all good to me.

I certainly wont be buying things, but it might help make a little dosh on the side ;) You can do the same, just not sell anything either, then it has literally zero effect on your game.

I kinda like it.

I think that's a rather ignorant opinion isn't it?

I should be able to get the same enjoyment from a game that anyone else does. After a 90 hour week at the hospital, who are you to say that I should enjoy my game less than someone who sits at home all day or works far more normal hours because I can't farm (speculating here of course) for 10 hours a day?

If one has more money than time, doesn't it make sense for things to be this way? After all, to me, my time is FAR more precious than any amount of money. I work very hard to have what I have and if that makes me "sad" then to be fair, you have a rather skewed outlook on life.

(Caveat - of course there are people that will spend money to gain an unfair advantage in some games and of course there are people spending money who don't even have it to spend)

Whilst I agree it may help to regulate it for normal players, it does nothing to prevent farmers and will likely make it easier for them to profit (by farmers I mean those Chinese slave farmers and the like).
A few weeks after release I expect there will be sufficient farmed gold in the system to completely ruin the economy.

I also don't like that they are facilitating the change into a Pay2Win game.

As for the constant connection... I would have played single player and there is no reason for that single player game to require a constant connection. I have no problem with people using trainers or whatever for their single player games as they are only affecting their game.
Of course trainers and whatever aren't going to be an issue because of my next point...

No mods. At all.
“For a variety of gameplay and security reasons, we will not be supporting bots or mods in Diablo III, and they’ll be expressly prohibited by our terms of use for the game.”

Chinese farmers will be in D3 with or without a paid AH, at least this way it's controlled somewhat by blizzard.

From Blizzard in 2007: The game's Terms of Use clearly states that all World of Warcraft content is the property of Blizzard Entertainment, and Blizzard does not allow 'in-game' items to be sold for real money. Not only do we believe that doing so would be illegal, but it also has the potential to damage the game economy and overall experience for the many thousands of others who play World of Warcraft for fun ... While we can understand the temptation to purchase items for real money, we feel that players can find ample equipment and money for their characters within the game through their own adventuring and questing.
