29 year old man becomes grandfather after daughter, 14, has baby

What a proud day it must have been for them all! People never cease to amaze me! How can you even begin to think about looking after a child at 14 and provide it with any decent standard of life...
Well, in fairness they probably have a similar standard of living as the majority of the other people who survive on benefits. If you have no aspirations beyond having a family there is little or no incentive to wait.

LOL...doesnt surprise me really, read about it from the Daily Fail and honestly i just laughed...things just cant anymore bleaker when a 29 yr old guy becomes a grandfather :/
My father worked hard all his life, got every qualification going, made a lot of money, bought a nice house, could have all the material things he wanted. He died at 59 and never saw a grandchild. It’s hard to have everything you want in life. I would never describe becoming a grandfather as bleak.

Crazy, I am 28 and not even a dad, yet someone is 1 year older than me, unemployed, a dad to a 14 year old and a granddad, my mind is full of **** right now.

I suppose I am the sap for not living off the state and popping out kids.

Are people that bored and uneducated that all they can do is get drunk and have sex

I dont think this is a matter of education because that is most uni students favorite hobby. The only difference being that most of them know what contraceptives are.

Also the legal age of consent in a lot of other European countries is 14 of less. Britain's teen pregnancy rates look higher, but then in a Euro country with a legal age of 14, pregnancies over the age of 14 arent counted in the 'underage pregnancy' statistics.

Sex at 14 probably is still the norm in most of the world, I dont get why so many people think theres something unnatural about it.

500 yrs ago would it have been the norm?

Possibly, but then they would have worked, or starved, not lived off my taxes, and diseases would have wiped most of them out by the grandfather's age.... (29) so I wouldn't have been as disgruntled at the waste of my taxes, on feeding them, but also paying for their alleged educations, and indeed the birthpools their spawn was delivered into.

It would be a bit too late for that now, or does something like post-birth abortion exist?

I think the option for her to have an abortion is long gone, seeing as the baby in her arms is way past the twenty four weeks deadline

I don't mean now obviously, it wouldn't exactly be an abortion would it.
She had 9 months.

I am just saying if you get preggers at 14 or tbh any time before you finish school or even uni it's a good idea for the sake of everyone.

I am not saying abortion is good but I do think it's ok when done early enough.

tbh I think girls that get pregnant are sent to work houses and they are taught life skills and made to look after the place/clean, have respect for something and study as well, then when they are 18 they can leave, I mean how can a 14 year old even began to look after a new born baby, its hard enough for adults. They cant work so someone else is footing the bill.

We have become to liberal and lets face it, it worked back then, we could turn some of the derelict mills into work houses. Would teach them some morals and that life is not all fun and games and sitting watching Jermey Kyle and playing on your mobile.

Aye but the human rights scum brigade will put a stop to that decent thought out plan very swiftly.

Africa is starving, yet they'd work for food given the chance.

"Work Houses" has negative connotations though as some were sickeningly bad so you'd have to give it a different name.

The OcUK Party? ;)
