Excluding mortgages and uni loans. As they can been seen as investment. I know it doesn't work out like that sometimes.

But how much debt do you have.

I am struggling at the moment to stay positive.

I took out some loans and I have around two years left.

At the moment I owe £22k in total. Including interest.

I was really silly with money and found out I was bi polar last year. Which kinda explains some things.

The highest it has been was close to 50k. I don't even know how I got the credit.

So how much do you owe and any success stories to re motivate my life. Been in a slump for about a month now.

My friend is bi polar and he goes a bit crazy with money too!

My debt is about 4k on a car loan. Should pay a chunk of that off really.

Although I dont have many assets (ie no house, not massive savings) so my net work is probably -3k because of that loan

CC £1300 (Now on interest free cc and will be paid off within a year)
Car Loan £6000 left but will be paid off in 18 months.

Will be avoiding loans/cc in the future once these are paid off.

Most debt I have been in was £4k, got it down to under £1k but to this day I still think that is a lot so god knows what £22k feels like. I dont have much to show for it asset wise other than a car worth about £2.5k so in theory I could be debt free tomorrow but car less, do you have anything to show for £22k?

fair play for not taking the ''i'm bankrupt'' route and trying to get through. what you should be looking at, is the fact that you have cleared nearly £30k and have £22k left. keep going but try and change your attitude to one of saving instead of spending. don't impulse buy or sign up to attractive credit deals. imagine if you could save £30k once all the debt is gone? that would be a massive turnaround. start by questioning every purchase you make ie. do i really need a £180 pair of jeans?

zero debt here.

If you don't mind me asking. Why? Car loans? Credit cards?

Credit card, another credit card, and 2 more after those, but rather than banking use of the 0% balance transfer, I would just rack up more when I cleared an old card. ****ed it all away on partying mostly, lol. Oh to be 22 again, not!
