HTC Desire -- Rooting help needed

Both my brothers have new Desires with HBOOT 0.93. Ones is a Black one from orange, the other is the usual colour.

I ran unrevoked on both.It doesn't even detect the first one. The second one (Black) gets detected and successfully roots and has superuser access but when trying to flash roms it don't work. He is coming round today so can get more info when i give it a go.

Am i missing something? Help much appreciated.

Have you got the drivers installed properly?
 
I have unbranded desire bought from play and had problems getting unrevoked working on both windows 7 (two different computers) and ubuntu.

Doing some digging I found people recommending an older version, which I believe was 3.21 (as I still have the exe for it).

That worked fine and is still doing so. I moved up to the new oxygen 2.2 this morning with no issues.

I have everything install, i owned a Desire myself for 18months and rooted the hell out of it :)
 
Just an update. They both come round my flat today and i got stuck in with rooting. I managed to root the first Desire easily. The second Desire (Black) rooted but also needed to be "S-OFF" to allow him to flash roms :)
