How much debt do you have?

Bring The Rain what job do you have?

Just gone self employed as a window cleaner. But a special one who uses magic water and long poles. So no ladders.

I had a gut feeling things were not gonna work out for me at my last work. And I was right. They just made loads redundant and the atmosphere is horrible now. It was a call centre so I couldn't do it.

At the moment I am just holding my own. But only been going a few months. But manage to get some work before I left. Well a lot really.

I would never be able to advance in a call centre. I went above and beyond my role and was still **** on.

At least being self employed I can earn as much as I want to work. I know we are in a bad climate. But I am picking up work every single week.

47k atm but then I just paid a year's rent in advance and bought a brand new G37 Coupe on finance so that's really the majority of where that came from. Without these two extra-ordinary charges, I'm not normally in any debt

Around 1.5k at the moment however i'm looking to pay that off within a year, I was a bit stupid with money in my first year of uni (partying, festivals) and my final year projects cost a few hundred aswell.

BTR, sounds like you got out at a good time (two of the larger call centres here closed down within the last couple of years, so i'm guessing a lot of that work is being outsourced even more), and congrats for taking the initiative to work for yourself - I hope the best for you.

Around £2.5K on a couple of CCs but there's Direct Debits setup to pay those automatically in full, so once that's gone through it's 0 again. Until the end of the next month at least :)

Well just had some fantastic news. Getting. Lump sum in sept. So I am paying off a chunk of the debt. Means I am £200 a month better off.

Still 2 years. But £200 x 24 is loads of moneyz to spend lol

Nah I can chip away at other things. An maybe reduce it to 1.5 years.

I knew a letter was coming but not today :)

I do have some great memories but I am paying for it now. But then I did have a wild 17-22. without loans and such. It never would have happened.

The problem here is your perception. You still could have had a great 17-22 without screwing yourself over.

Without wanting to question your sexual prowess or social skills, it's very easy to find friends and be knee deep in clunge when you are throwing money around. Doing it when you HAVE the money is silly enough, doing it when you are borrowing is just insanity.

I really am glad you sorted yourself out and hopefully it'll be long term so that you don't get into it again. I just cannot imagine buying so much stuff that I had no money to pay for. Did your folks not wonder where all the money was coming from?

My parents didn't know. I was working for my dad and clearing £300 a week 10 years ago when 17/18.

So they assumed I was spending wages. Which I was.

I think I chnaged the wheels on my cars hundreds of times.

About 4k left if I exclude student loan (which will be paid off in about 6 months \o/).

I did spiral out of control in my younger days living a frivolous lifestyle - still, whilst I've had to cut back on a lot now, I don't regret any of the decisions I've made - I got to experience a lot of things I would never have done otherwise.

Several thousand, but it's easily manageable and interest free for the next 18 months when it will be paid off.

I have about 8k of a bank loan left owing with 3 years left on it, my partner also has about 4k left on a bank loan she got, and about 6k left owing on my car. all very manageable, annoying thing is though, i earn a decent wage as does my partner, in March, we went to the bank where we both have our loans seperately to see if we could take a new loan out to combine the 2 loans we have which would almost certainly have reduced our 2 monthly payments into one lower one, and we got turned down, now i have never, ever made a late payment or missed a payment in my life, and i assumed i had an excellent credit rating, my partner is the same as me, we both always pay on time, and surely it would have made it less of a risk combining teo loans we already had into one payment!
