U.K. publication Official PlayStation Magazine (via DigitalSpy) has said that the fourth entry in the TimeSplitters franchise will be announced "soon."?Gun-wielding monkeys are finally making a comeback!

A fourth TimeSplitters 4 title is to be announced soon," says the mag.TimeSplitters 4 has been rumored to be in the works for some time now, and will apparently take the form of a CryEngine 3-powered sandbox shooter complete with branching pathways.

It?ll be developed by Crytek UK, the studio formally known as Free Radical Design.TimeSplitters debuted on PlayStation 2 back in 2000, and has spawned two sequels to date: TimeSplitters 2 (2002) and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (2005).

+1 To that post, lets hope they keep the great MP offline modes and not focus to much on online MP modes.

Took a second glance at the thread title and knew what game you were referring to so thought i'd come in.

Hoping it will be on 360 as well, remember playing TS2 for hours as the co-op/multiplayer was incredibly well done for a game that old. Hopefully they will do it justice with number 4.

a lot of the staff from Free Radical Design (makers of Timespliters) are the guys working at Crytek UK. Bascily when the company went into administration Crytek brought Free Radical Design and renamed them Crytek uk.

This, many hours spent on the multiplayer. Looking forward to screenshots and developer interviews to see what their vision of the game is.
