I just been looking in to some of this, most of it is womans stuff though, but a few things that have caught my eye, people selling a volume of certain products at clearance/wholesale price which you could resell.

Does anyone grab stuff from ebay like this at wholesale price? how do you sell it? stick it back on the bay but incur fee's or sell elsewhere?

I know a lot of people buy wholesale and then flog it on eBay, not buy wholesale through eBay and then flog it. That's why eBay has become a cesspit of cheap chinese tat.

I have done this in the past buying in bulk on eBay and selling them back on eBay as single items. It is effective if you know what your buying/selling.

I have a customer that does this but its for electrical goods, tv's, dvd players and so on. Its not bankrupt stock though. He buys B Grade stock from retailers. Does good out of it, I had a quick look at his ebay score and its scary how much stock he has shifted.

One example, there was someone selling woman's shader and toner saches. 73 for 14.99 + postage, then I looked on ebay and seen someone selling them 1.29 each or 3 for £3.50

Do you know how you list an item in quantity with buy it now only? Or do you have to be an eBay shop?

I can't be bothered to google the quantity question ATM lol! left my work laptop charger at work so I'm browsing on the phone

Just done a trial run and got 44 x apple style ear phones for iPod, touch, pc, mp3 player etc etc for £18inc postage

My posture status has now been changed to "Bracing for epic".

is that a nice way of saying "I just bought 44 rip off fake ipod ear phones and am going to scam a bunch of people"?

Not sure yet. Even if I can get £2.99 each for them that's £131, think I need to have a look on ebay tomorrow. Need to find out how to list this item but without the bid option and just the buy it now with the quantity available/sold

your best bet in doing this is to go to the auction houses themselves (i was actually at one today in brum - it was full of stuff the police had seized) it's good fun and you do find the odd decent thing that will turn you a nice profit. the main bonus though is that you can see what you're bidding on (you will need to go a couple of days before to view) and buy an item list on the day and get bidding. i brought 2nr pallets of assorted metal today and 2nr 4mx10m tarpaulins that retail at £37 quid each from jewson for £12 the pair. i made a nice profit on the metal and hope to do so on the tarpaulin too. though it is hit and miss but i am going to do it more often as it is good fun and i've met some good contacts. the auctions have fee's and VAT is added onto your winning bid and ebay has fee's too (as i'm sure you know)

what did surprise me, was 24nr strips of (think it was 2mb) computer memory went for £200+. i don't know what brand it was but i thought it was quite a lot?

It's not scamming ;) I'm not selling them as official, they will be sold as apple style, some people are happy enough to pay for cheap rubbish

Ok well I will think of another name for them.

I thought I would go for it as I wanted to kill my curiosity, people in work do it but they do it with women's clothes. I'm no good in that department ;)

Why do you think you will get £2.99? Someone is selling earphones on eBay for £1.69 with free delivery.

If you match his price I estimate you will make £12.80 if you're lucky. From the work required to do 44 orders that's not worth it.
