Current football games are pretty poor IMO..FIFA 11 is ok

But if you go back to ps2/pc PES1,2,3,4...These games were amazing. Even ISS on ps1. I was playing them recently and gameplay wise they are 1000x better than anything since including the current titles.

It was a shame Konami lost the plot when they went to the next gen after ps2.

PEs5,6 were ok to. But after Pes 2008 lol that game was a joke.

Played some PES6 with mate the other day. Felt diabolical to be honest compared to FIFA 12. I know it was easily the best footy game of it's time back in day though.
 
Well tbh I think Pes5,6 werent that great. PES3-4 were better. I was playing PES3 like 10 mins ago still great game play.

Anyway FIFA 12 lol, u mean FIFA 11?

For sure FIFA has improved but PEs has gone downhill.

FIFA 11 is just a midfeild congested battle and easy to score on the counter IMO>
 
Yeah 11 sorry. PES4 was the game that got me into footy games. Gifted to me as a birthday present back when I was 10..

I was playing ISS way back on Super nintendo lol...It was great on PS1 ISS then it got crap on PS3.
 
we still play the first pro evo all the time.....first few games feel really jumpy but then you get used to it. Superb
 
Got the original PES along with Wrath of Cortex when I first got my PS2. Loved it :D. Anyone ever play the 'This is Football' games? Two footed tackles and being able to dive was amazing, got my friend sent off when I dived once :p.

lol that was a not bad game lmao.... You can dive in PES also just press like r2+l2+l1 or something I cant remember its only in some of them not all...Im sure you can dive in FIFA 11 as well..mostly you get booked though 80% off time.I have played so many footy games in my life
