Can someone recommend a CPU cooler for AM3+

As the title says, can someone please recommend a fan for an AM3+ MotherBoard :rolleyes:

I was thinking about the Corsair H60 but was unsure whether it would fit the MotherBoard :confused:

All of the Corsair Hydro Series will fit AM3.

But you have to buy the board first, and the ram, and the CPU.

And does your case have a 120mm fan at the rear or in the roof?

I'd rather work out the rough cost of everything before I buy it, so I know how much to save for the components.

SB could drop in price.
If you want to do rough, just give your full budget, and split into sections
X for Cooler
Y for Board
Z for CPU

etc.

as the chips are not out, who is to say any of the current aftermarket coolers will be enough for them? or you could find they generate less heat to start with so a cheaper cooler will do just as much as an expensive one. or have i missed some info on AM3+ chips?

You make a good point. I'd probably rather get a more expensive cooler just invade I OverClock the CPU. I'd also rather be safe than sorry.

well we dont know how hot these chips run so i would say wait then you can get the performance you need without spending a fortune
