All these people saying their contract isn't up, doesn't really make a difference as the people who's contracts are up are still going to have to hand over money for it, regardless of contract

Yes but the people still in contract may have to pay a 'get out' to be able to upgrade!

Ive got about 2 months left on this iphone 4... so if need be I will just bin off the last month or two by paying it up, pay X amount for the 5 and then sell the 4 on to get back some (probably all and then some) of the costs.

Job done :)
 
How will you sell a 2nd hand IP4 to get back "all and then some" of the costs on a 5?

When the 5 comes out the price on the IP4 will slide £100 and so will the 2nd hand value.

Unless you mean the costs of buying out 2 months contract then I understand, that's an awful waste of money for 2 months patience though isn't it?

He means it will cover the cost of the Iphone 5 after the network subsidy, about £150-£200.

I don't think it's a waste of money, I absolutely hate waiting for things!

I'm not saying the phone is a waste of money but to me paying off a contract and losing the £150-200 (that someone quoted) just to not wait 2 months seems like a waste of money to me.

The only difference between waiting and not waiting is the £30 a month line rental, so for 2 months £60. I agree that its not something I would do but the phone will cost £150 ish even if he waits.

i honestly don't think the iphone4 is missing much anyway , camera will still be good enough even if the 5 has a better one. it will still be fast enough . it will still have ios5
 
I've just entered a new cotract for £12.50 a month so will sell my iphone 4 and get the iphone 5 with all the savings.

How much is an iphone 4 32GB worth?

Depends if you are going to sell it now or wait until the 5 is out. I'd sell now before the 5 pushes the price down £100.

Ebay get good prices but the fees and then paypal fees really push the price down. I'd rather sell on one of the other forums you can sell them, like AVforums or Talkphotography. You would get a little less but not have to give ebay and paypal £60.

I've just bought my mrs a refurb ipad off apple, I'm wondering why they don't sell refurb phones?
They sell everything else refurb why not phones?

Did you even read the article lol, it was a Photoshop they did to show how easy it to create a 'OMG I HAZ SEEN IPHONE 5!' story.

So far the most legit pic I've seen was the Apple guy on the train. Apparently carriers have iPhone 5s now for testing but they are in secure boxes so staff (except perhaps the execs) can't see them.
