Need a few 120mm fans price is not a problem just want
them as quiet as possible read a few reviews and get mixed
messages thanks for your time.

PS. its a p182 case i know old but mint and housing my 2500k now
and the fans are getting to loud.

Gelid Solution's wing 12's are quite good, blue and UV if you like that sort of thing.

Scratch that, Akasa Viper (the yellow one), like 80 cfm from a 120mm :O, very good indeed

I doubt if a 1900rpm Viper could be considered silent or anything near to.

You really need to determine how you are going to control the fans. If you are going for 100% speed all the time look at fans that are less than 1000rpm. If you have a fan controller and will adjust speed to suit situation then you can go faster.

What's your current set up? Stock fans?

I'm bias because I own them but Scythe GentleTyphoon's are pretty good.
As Teal(apostrophe)c said it depends on the speeds they are running @:

500 rpm: 0.015 A - 5 dBA - 31 m³/h
800 rpm: 0.023 A - 9 dBA - 48 m³/h
1,150 rpm: 0.034 A - 16 dBA - 63 m³/h
1,450 rpm: 0.049 A - 21 dBA - 85 m³/h
1,850 rpm: 0.083 A - 28 dBA - 98 m³/h

There should not be any "pitch noises" with relatively low rpm fans with hydrodynamic bearings. The only noise should be due to the airflow.

was going over old custom pc mags last night and
silent eagles pretty much came out tops with good airflow

one thing to consider is that you need all your fans to be the same make if not you get slightly different pitch noises

2000 rpm isnt going to be silent, i own the 100 model i wouldn't call them silent but are quite quiet personally i would go with Scythe Gentle Typhoon 800 RPM model.

Have Vipers myself and hardly hear them at all. When I do the only noise is really the sound of the air being pushed through the fins of the cooler and it's not obtrusive at all in my opinion.

-1 (?)

I'm running Vipers on my Radiators and also on a CM Hyper 212+ and once you get over about 1000rpm they become noticable at 1900rpm they are loud.
Of course if you're only being used as case fan and not attached to heatsinks or radiators they may be quieter.

Also, loud can be quite subjective and different people have different opinions on what is (too) loud.

I have some Noctua NF-S12B FLXs and I can hardly hear them @1200RPM with PC next to me on the desk. If you dont mind the colour, they are very good!
