Hi all

As some may have seen, I am selling my car (for some reason my thread has been removed) however, I received an email just now from "Jessica Weston".

OK, sounds like a normal name, yet the body of the email does not read right to me (one line of text):-

Just viewed your listing and will like to purchase it .please what is the condition and more detail of it. Cheers.

"will like to purchase it"? and "please what is the condition"?

Email address is [email protected]

What we thinking? Scam? :o

if you got to ask !

next thing she will ask you to ship it to her uncle who is currently on work contract in nigeria

Tell her it is in good condition, but sadly it smells really bad beacuse you spilt some cartons of milk in the boot which seem to be turning into cheese in this hot weather.

It's definitely a scam. But I'd be tempted to reply just to see what their next email was.

Just google it and you can see the reply from the millions of other people who have received it. I dont see why you'd waste any more than 11 seconds thinking time on this personally.

reply though with something funny

tell her that your father is a scientist and that he converted the car to run on a mix of petrol and waste material and that you hope that wont be a problem but obviously it would be cheaper for her to run long term.

and see what reply you get

the car has slight water damage. Last tuesdays i accidently drove it into a swimming pool but dont worry it didnt scratch the paintwork. I think the clorine in the pool gave the car a good clean. Looks brand new

Hah some classic lines, unfortunately I have deleted the email, so no funny replies. However, if I get anymore I know where to come for some humor. :)

Thanks chaps.
