Is this the epitomy of tightness?

I've seen some examples of thriftiness, but today took the biscuit!

Down at the garage where I am based, a bloke came in today.

He asked if we could fit a LPG tank to his car so he could get more MPG. He said his car was outside. When we walked out, he had a Smartcar! Those things have a stupid MPG anyway.

We explained (when we finished laughing) that he would lose his entire boot to the tank. He was happy with this and is having it fitted next week.

I bet he can peel an orange in his pocket!

How much does the LPG tank weigh?

The original petrol tank is removed and replaced with a smaller one alongside the new LPG tank. The weight difference is marginal as LPG is a lot lighter anyway.

However, you do lose BHP on LPG, and the smarts aren't exactly blessed with that to start with.
