imagine if you walked up to anyone in that vid and explained to them that in the not far distant future the video will be viewed on what is known as a website on a computer through something called the internet. they'd think you were crazy.

i can't think of what today's comparison to that situation would be.

How are we supposed to know if the guy colouring in these films has done his job properly, if one of the guys in the first film was wearing a salmon pink suit would we be any the wiser?

Actually it seems these films were actually made in colour originally, but the question is still valid for a lot of the old film that has been redone 'in colour' as I believe the process does actually involve someone 'colouring in' the black and white films
