Ok so Moss Bros couldn't provide anything off the peg, the only suit I have is a business suit which I last wore to an interview 3yrs ago & it has faint pinstripes.

Can't really afford nor justify buying a new suit tomorrow morning so was thinking maybe getting a smart jacket & shirt & wearing this on black trousers with a tie?

I'm 35 next mth & figured maybe the time has now come to start wearing a suit jacket as everyday wear, its gonna happen one day so maybe getting a decent one is in order?

Any thoughts or suggestions on where I can buy something tomorrow morning?

Check out BaronJon, great store. not the cheapest in the world to be fair, but they have some top stuff

Wear the suit if it fits.

Get a decent white shirt and a silver / pink skinny tie.

Do not but a skinny tie. Buy a proper silk tie and use a Windsor knot against a cutaway collar. This isn't a suggestion, it's fact.

Also, every 35 year old man should own at least one good suit. Get to it, OP.

Thanks for the replies, yes going into town tomorrow, in addition to Asda apparently Mattalan do cheap suits too but if I'm spending money on clothes I'd prefer to buy something decent, even if I don't spend that much, hence the thought of a decent jacket.

What the hell scenario occured where you were invited to a wedding with 24 hours notice?

The scenario was as follows:

1) I knew about the wedding since the spring.
2) Went to hire a suit on Tuesday but they had nothing other than suits with tails.
3) Have done nothing about it since & am now panicking.

Great honesty!

I would have been exactly the same but less willing to admit it on a forum!

I hope you get it sorted, sorry i cant offer anything more practical.

Could try Burtons. I got a full suit with shoes and tie for £100. Got a few comments about how good I looked at the wedding too. This was in 2009 but was the same time of year so may have a similar offer on.
