And for a while I was like "omg Serenity 2!!!" *moist*

But then I realised the article was from 2007, and I cried a little.

So can anyone make me happy with even the slightest rumour that there will still be any more?

The last I heard, there was an attempt not too long ago, to gather enough people willing to invest, to purchase the IP rights from fox, so that they could legally produce future episodes of firefly.

The response from camp Whedon, though not the man himself (I believe it was his sister) was "don't bother"..

The response from Nathan Fillion was equally non-interested, claiming that his comment regarding resurrecting the franchise was taken out of context.

Ultimately, though Fox admit that axing firefly was a mistake, there are no plans now, or ever, to start over.

It so stupid not to make more though. Everyone wants it. It would make a fortune for them.
