As above really. Looking for a quiet, preferably red LED 140mm fan to replace the HAF X's stock rear exhaust, as it's the noisiest fan in the case (replaced side and top stock fans with Coolermaster Megaflows). If not LED, something with red blades would be good, low noise is the priority.

Thanks guys:)

Try the BitFenix Spectre 140mm, that's the fan I'm planning to replace the one in the back of my HAF with :)

They look great, give decent airflow, plus they're pretty quiet from what I've read :)

mmm, thanks guys, wouldn't mind either of those to be honest. As for the Enermax linked, is it 3 pin, and does the controller only control the LED functions or the rpm as well? I want to control it with my fan controller.

It is 3 pin, the controller controls the rpm AND the patterns.

Would it be possible to bypass the controller by plugging the 3 pin into my Lamptron controller and disconnecting cables to the Enermax external controller? Or, put another way, can I isolate the rpm control from the Enermax controller?

I am not 100% but the led pattern controller and rpm changer are on a separate unit. So yes :)

I had mine plugged into a zalman, just cant remember lol

Hmmm my HAF-X is deathly quiet (cant hear the rear fan at all, just the side) though its pretty new, maybe it needs to wear in a little ;) though I have a coolermaster 200x30mm fan to go in the spare top slot. (Note my PC is in quite a warm room when its summer, freezing cold in winter!)

Hi Tony, yeah tbh, I may be being over critical with the noise. It is an extremely quiet case. My 3 200mm Megaflows, and the 230mm front intake are barely noticable. And again, tbh once my old Zotac GTX260 Amp2(built my new rig about a month ago now, but still indecisive about which GPU upgrade to go for. I may go with the MSI GeForce GTX 460 HAWK "Super-OC" as a stop gap til the next gen arrives) ramps up when gaming, its the noisiest thing in the case.

Doh, i'm a complete moran!! I totally forgot, my rear intake is still powered from the mobo as I forgot to get an extra extension fan cable to run it to my Lamptron :o ,so it's running at 100% constantly. Jeez I'm such a n00b. But anyway, I do like the Enermax fan and its red swirly goodness, so will aquire one anyway :)
