I'd echo the same thing as MotherMayI, play against humans, even though you dont have flash or full masteries/runes it doesnt matter one jot. Why? Because you will most of the time be matched with people around the same level as you so they wont have these things either!

It's much much better, you learn nothing from bots, they stick to a script and are so predictable you will literally be able to maul them after learning their behaviour. The longer you leave it the harder it will become when you actually go out and play 'normal' games :)

Yep, matchmaking will put you in games with people of a similar level so you'll not get lumped in a game full of people with flash ghost or whatever.

Playing with humans can be frustrating but it's really the only way to learn the game. I'm happy to play a few games with you krooton but it might have a negative impact as I'm 30 and thus it will match us vs level 20ish players.

With regard to tanky champions, don't waste your time with Rammus and Malphite. They're just not good enough atm.

Singed is fine but I'd say go with Jarvan or Irelia. They can build tanky and are just far better than ones previously mentioned.

Support wise, don't waste RP on them. All the supports are relatively cheap IP wise so I'd go with using IP on them instead. At low level the best thing you can do with RP is buy boosts. They help MASSIVELY in getting you to 30/getting more champs.
 
I'd agree with Dei re RP - only use RP for skins and boosts. IP - if you take me as a case in point I have 20k+ of IP, buying champions/Runes etc really is not an issue when you get to a certain point in this game
 
Re the Boosts a point regarding this, I used XP boost big time between level 15-30, meant it pretty much took me two weeks to achieve level 30 from 15. HOWEVER that was bad as it becomes more difficult for the average player to experiment with different characters once you hit the delights of level 30 play. In some ways I wish I had enjoyed the ride and experimented more :)

Join us in mumble as well - a good proportion of us still understand it's a game and just enjoy it for what it is :)

Tals can you message krooton the mumble stuff? I've not got the details whilst I'm at work krooton emailed me asking for them the other day and I totally forgot to sort it until now.

Krooton what level are you? I could always make a smurf account so that we play with similar level people. Alternatively join us on mumble and we'll hold your hand until you get flash :)

Set up mumble on the gf's laptop, I'm halfway through level 7 at the mo.

How do I add people in-game? I can find summoner profiles, but can't see any buddy option.

Hehe my wife would strongly disagree with you on that one. But you're right seem to be missing each other lately :( I tend to play 930pm+ which is outside of a lot of peoples sweet spots

Yea he really is good.

Played Taric for the first time yesterday (Ok I tried him about 2 months ago in a bot match for 5 mins before getting bored) Had like 15/5/25 or something stupid.

Such a strong character.
 
Lol. Battle Taric? Why do you have so many kills on a support? I've been playing him a lot lately and he is pretty fun on bot lane with a decent, aggressive AD carry.

Yep, don't mess with the battle Taric! Apparently FoTM atm is a solo top AP Taric lol.

I wasn't playing him as a pure support more of an aggressive offtank/support. We won that game though and to be honest I carried it as no one could kill me and I was doing a fair bit of damage :D
