Just thinking about doing a quick upgrade and then waiting before getting a completely new system. The 570 seems to be an amazing upgrade from a 4850 512mb (which I have atm).

Just wondering would my Hiper type M - 580W PSU be able to handle that, and E8400 cpu at 3.6ghz be a massive bottleneck?

Really just want it to give me a bit more performance in ARMA 2 and BF3 (when it arrives).
 
3.6 is pretty low for a e8400, why not go for 4 Ghz? from what I understand ARMA requires ridiculiously silly CPU's and id think that a 570 is bottled by an e8400.
 
I personally wouldn't trust a Hiper PSU, but I'm running my system on a Corsair HX520 with no problems so if the Hiper doesn't explode it should be fine. :p
 
Yeah I have a Hiper 630w and that wasn't even able to boot my PC whilst using a 6870 1gb card >.< throwing the hiper out into the BIN, I am truely greatful to the folks on this forum that know their stuff as now I will never ever get a Hiper ever again.

I just picked up a Corsair TX750 v2 that should set me for a very long time hopefully especially since it comes with a lovely 5yr warranty :-D
 
Thanks for the replies. Looks like i'll have to hold out again then :(. Really don't want to waste all that money on a new card and then have the system blow out! ugh! Looks like I won't be buying till at least November at this rate.

Why dont you use Hitachi finance and get it now? ive used them before, good service and you pay very little on top of what the actual cost is.

I'd prefer not to use the finance. I'm just holding out for a system that will actually perform. Looks like at the moment everything is in a bit of a 'lul'. Most of these 'top' cards only seem to be able to play the 'top' games at 30fps and you need a huge beefy system to keep them in check. Rather wait till next generation and see if that's a step up at all.
