The police will be assessing the best way to contain, burn out, then arrest. They normally try to refrain from turning it into a medieval battle field in the first instance these days.

I don't want anyone to use firearms. But the notion that you can't be robust because you may make people angry is just plain stupid.

A stable society - like what we had hundreds of years ago when vigilante justice reigned and witches were put on ducking stools? You are the very sort of person who would be on the streets doing exactly what these rioters are doing if you happened to be in their position. So far in this thread you've shown yourself to have no regard for other people's lives, consider them beings of lower worth that do not deserve civil liberties, and think a mass culling of them all is a good way to resolve these riots.

Then care to explain why they do in fact operate with the intention of minimising violence, seemingly in contradiction to your 'insider' knowledge?
 
I am sure the reasons behind today's situation are complex that have developed over decades and have led to this situation.

However I blame the government aswell in being complacent and allowing this kind of sitations to occur while having more broader outlook on the matter than average joe.

Unless the government was ignorant aswell and just turned a blind eye.

I dont want it and I know it wont happen, this is not Hamas vs Israel, this a bunch of losers going up against the powers that be and they have more money and weapons than you can image and all for some guy that was respected by the community that was carrying a gun.

I mean I have been riding in taxi for years and never been shot at by the police, crazy I know.

Seriously though, **** some people in this thread. I've been to tottenham many times in the past and despite what you might think/stereotype, most of the people I've said hello to there (i used to godown to see the football) were British. Black or White everyone seemed to get along fine.
