I really have no clue what so ever!!!gfx card help required.

Just waiting for some more bits to arrive to build a low cost budget i3 system.

i currently have a 7600gs which obviously is about 4 years old!

Ive spent about £120 on a s/h motherboard i3 cpu h/s/f and 6gb of ram so would like to stick to about £80 budget and dont mind second hand ..... As this would keep me within my bargain budget.

Maybe £100 tops.


i really have no idea what brand or model or series to even look at???!!!!!

i have looked around the for sale forums and havnt seen much.

When you say i3, make sure you getting the i3 2100, not the last gen i3 530/540. The i3 2100 is much faster.

Another site has a 5850 for £100 notes which is still a very good card overall but for that price it's an abcolute steal.

If you can get the 5850 for £100 i would,But if not you can get a GTX 460 for £97 and its still a good card.

you can still clock that i3 to at least 4.0 easy

460 is roughly equal to a 5850 when OC'd.

5850 woul be my choice

460's seem to be cheaper than 5850's atm and much easier to find.

the 5850 I saw is no longer on the site either.
