Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

There is no defending the looting.

What is happening tonight is nothing to do with the shooting. It is merely opportunism.

Last night's rioting also came about via people looking for trouble, and then more joining in in a typical rent-a-mob fashion.

It is NOT an occurance born out of race, nor is the looting related to the initial protest.
 
My dad grew up in one of the worst areas of Edinburgh and lived in poverty. He was the youngest of 3 brothers and 3 sisters but worked his way out of it. He worked 6 days a week doing 12 hours shifts so that me and my brother would have a better life.

Sickens me seeing the scum using poverty as an excuse when the reality is, they have never had it so good.

If they wanted to be noticed then they have been successful. Unfortunately, they are being noticed for the wrong reasons and people's opinions will be to the detriment of their so called "plight" as opposed to being of any use.

I am not claiming that this is the right thing to do neither is it positively benefiting the 'cause' but it has people talking. It is getting positive people within these communities air time that they would not have gotten in a million years.

I know it is wrong, but what's the old saying about their being no such thing as bad publicity?

Not racism. People excause there behaviour by blaming it on poverty. But does anyone consider it's there behaviour and general mindset which keeps them poor?

And poverty is pretty bad excuse as in the uk being poor is not having Sky TV. And besides this so called poverty they always seem to have the money for a pair of £100 nike trainers.
 
They ought be made to clean all this **** up.

At least one of the armoured vehicles was apparently used today. A Jankel or something.

Saw them outside Patternoster square (where the London stock exchange is located) during the banking protests - pretty hefty vehicles.

Yes and they are wasting it by saying "it's not their fault, they are being oppressed and this is the only thing they can do to stop it"
