You really are deluded if you think a couple of youthclubs could prevent all of this.

if the youthclub had still been there, i reckon it would've been one of the first things torched. lamest excuse ever. 'it's cos we're bored, there's nothing to do' read a book, go jogging, help your parents out around the house?

Stops the riot's knowing exactly where to go , some outsiders are apparently coming in and causing more unrest

Isn't that a bit hopeless in the age of internet and mobiles?

"There is some rioting, but we're not going to tell you where." Really effective warning for the public that one. ;)

Willing to bet that you're not in poverty and have very little chance of escaping the cycle laid out for you a generation or two ago, though.

Poverty LOL
Anyone who can afford to wear £100 Nike trainers is not living in poverty

This is poverty you fool :-

Perhaps they could do something constructive for their neighborhood? Doubt that would ever cross the mind of these yobs though. You really are deluded if you think a couple of youthclubs could prevent all of this. A decent legal system with strong punishments would certainly help the situation.

What constructive activities do you suggest that bored teenagers with no money, hope and who are generally disinterested in their lives and the lives of those around them to do, without any adult supervision and guidance.

Youth clubs do make a massive difference as it was quite simply something to do and look forward to instead of roaming the streets and generally being idiots. I state that as a fact.

Get these kids involved with something positive and give them guidance. But you've got to make the effort. After growing up surrounded by a generation or two of 'failure' it is incredibly hard for these kids to want to work towards a better life on their lonesome, especially when the call of violence, drugs and alcohol abuse is so strong.

Minorities talking about "poverty" as a cause is hilarious. We know nothing about true hardship. They're just turds with even bigger turds as parents.

I am hardly rich either... I "get by" is probably the best description of things.... I have not had a proper night out in weeks... I certainly don't have the cash to spend on the designer gear that these people seem to have. Instead I spend my money on a mortgage and other normal things.

I don't come from a wealthy family, just hard working which instilled me with a good work ethic.... I guess you can call that "wealthy" in one form or another.

Mummy and Daddy didn't fund anything other than the normal stuff when I was growing up and that stopped when I left school. I put myself through college, bought my own transport and house and survived myself.

The only thing stopping these young people from doing the same is that they want the footballer/rap singer lifestyle with all the bling and big fancy cars and ****. They choose the "easy" way of crime to get there. Wake up and smell the roses sunshine, that **** doesn't happen without hard work and commitment.

lovely pics to see just before I turn in for the night.

Sorry I appreciate they are very graphic, but perhaps some of the community leaders should see them before they start ranting about how poverty and hardship. There are literaly 100 of millions of people right now on the planet who would sell there soul for fraction of what the people in Totenham have.

And the spoilt (by global standards) inner city 'communities' go and burn there own neigbourhood down.
