Possibly? Who knows, it's not like accusations of institutional racism have never been levelled at the Met before.
The police up here done the exact same thing, ended up straying off statistically into pulling over the Asian community at the train stations and ports.

There is significant amount of criminality rolling about the capital being broadcast around the world? I would rather the man in charge of the country being hands on, as opposed to hands off.

probably not. they probably treat them with kidgloves through fear of being accused as racist. if anyone breaks the law, black, white, whatever, stop treating them like they are the victims. innocent until proven guilty i understand but if a police officer has caught a person in the act, they should use great force during the arrest if needs be.

The trouble is, in a lot of ways what can Boris do?
He can have a wonder around the destruction and condemn it, but that doesn't really change things.
It's the Police which are at the top, admittedly missing a Head Commissioner at the moment, but they can get on with it and it's good at least that Theresa May has given up her holiday.
The one thing which is silly which the news has mentioned is that both Cameron and Clegg are on holiday at the same-time. There should defiantly be a deputy here if the Primeminister is going to be away.

Like I've said before... if black kids want to stop the Police targeting them, then stop dressing and acting like 'thug life' types. If you dress like them and wear hoodies up all the time, you are just adding to the stereotype and are asking to be stopped. People just don't seem to be able to understand that. Act like a gangster and people are going to treat you like one.

When they looted Currys, Took the Laptops etc.. The Sandybridge's have a remote kill switch that can be activated even when the machines are off (through 3G) IIRC.
