They're looting shops, you're advocating genocide. Hmm, which is worse, I wonder?
 
The black community are even more embarrassed by how this has turned out than probably any other ethnic background. Doesn't mean they are to blame though. A peaceful protest could have been held to honour the guy shot dead if they felt so strongly about it, but criminals and thugs plus general chav scum have now permanently destroyed any sort of respect for the guy shot dead by the police that the local community was trying to actually get.

Like I said earlier, colour doesn't come into this. You look at any of the live feeds and theres blacks, asians and white people all stood side by side destroying property and clashing with the police for absolutely no reason apart from being criminals. Theres literally no other way to describe their actions.

I can't help thinking that these yobs don't live in the areas where they are rioting & some are from outside London. That's why they don't care what they are doing.

& as for the 'spectators', go home ferchrissake & let the Police wade in. (if they dare)

Well one thing they really should be doing thats winding me up is, boxing them in, 100 officers, this side, other side, and a couple side roads, some will get away, most won't. When its 50 guys at one end of the road and the guys just scatter, its completely pointless, theres no co-ordinated effort by the cops to box them in, largely because when boxed in, is when people go really bat-**** crazy, but its inevitable that this will only stop when some battles are won by the police to be honest, sooner they start, smaller groups they'll face. In a couple days time there could easily be several times more people joining in.
 
Good point just made on BBC.

Police officers reticent to wade in, in case they themselves are prosecuted later for assault etc. :-[
 
Don't the police have tear gas or something that they can throw at the crowd (or even better drop from a helicopter :D)?

Thats the problem, you don't want to say anything else, you're quite happy just yelling at the top of your lungs we're all idiots for not admiting they are black, plenty of them are, plenty aren't, the majority of all black people in the country aren't involved, essentially their skin colour doesn't matter.

Stopping them does, and thats what most people here are focused on, if they are black, white, yellow, pink, german, green, women, men, gay, straight, it really doesn't matter. The riot needs dealing with, end of, their colour really doesn't make the slightest bit of difference at this stage.

Or it shouldn't at least, honestly don't think the cops are being overly sensitive because they are black, its just our current culture, if someone makes ANY mistake the press and people will crucify people for it. The chief of police gives permission to use the water cannon, someone dies, the papers will go on a rampage and have him put in jail for being to harsh. If he chooses not to and a cop dies because the riots get out of control, same end result.

We've crippled this country with the mentality we have, what the heck are the police supposed to do.

Right now I'm completely against this stand and watch situation, but what can the police do, that a large group of people won't rake them over the coals for when its all finished, not much. Use to little force, get blamed, use too much, get blamed, cop dies, its their fault, criminal dies, its the cops fault, innocent person dies, cops fault, etc, etc, etc.

Oh I agree, but either way it's a 'bunch of utter morons' who feel aggrieved about something (correctly or not). In the case of London it's not generally the 'white' population that consider themselves oppressed.
