I really dont know why they havent drafted in the riot police from N.Ireland that are used to this and highly trained. why havent they got them to go over and back them up.

The thing is that apparently, manpower isn't the problem. What's 5,000 soldiers (if that) going to add to 30,000 police officers?

If you can't deploy all police officers due to unsuitability, how can you deploy soldiers?
