The turks ran them out - Dalston. Same thing happened in Aldgate, Whitechapel by the Bangladeshis.
Of course it was for self interest. More than half of the Brick Lane/Whitechapel shops/restaurants sell bootleg/grey imports. There would have been no insurance payouts for them so they had to take it up to defend their livelihoods. No one is willing to share pictures/or putting them up because of fear of reprisals from the thugs/police for wielding weapons.
Girlfriend lives in Isle of Dogs, big fire going on between Crossharbour & Mudchute DLR stations...I'm hoping the 24 hour Asda there doesn't get looted.
Calling it a night myself but this whole saga has left me wondering, what if these thugs tried it on in the posher ends of London, would the police still let them get on with it? Yesterday, some tried it around Oxford Circus, Edgware area but were promptly taken back under control.

If so, only to appease their parents, I highly doubt anyone taking part in the looting is in any way truly religious.

One thing I have felt is that selfishness in the society has increased so much so that whatever you guys have mentioned has become truth.
Young women and girls have also lost their feminine and respectful values.
Are you going to fend people of with the invoice while you wait for it to be delivered?
Sky are rocking it tonight and LBC is doing well with breaking news. The BBC is really rubbish at these sort of stories (like not declaring 7/7 involved bombs until an hour after Sky).
