He may have a point (sort of), 9/11 was a one off attack by an extremist group. This is thousands of our own citizens being complete and utter ****s, causing huge amounts of damage and endangering peoples lives.

It may not be as bad in terms of lives lost but it sets a poor precident, one that could continue.

Of course they aren't really comparable, different things entirely but I can see where he is coming from.

The question begs, when do these riots get rebranded as terrorism? If a high profile target, something like wembly stadium for example or one of the olympic venues, was torched, surely this would allow the police and government to immediately use stronger tactics than just "turn up and block streets off" approach at the moment?

I know mate. I'm seriously thinking of hauling my backside out of this country, or out of London at minimum. Iraq looks good.
