Had some very enjoyable games last night, thanks Yupyupno, Not a Zergling and OMH
I've been messing around with Cody so thought I'd give him a go. He's got some meaty combos that do a lot of damage and a couple of great anti airs. I've only done some of his trials and an hour or so in training mode... it's beginning to gel together now. His cr.lp x 3 > cr.HP > Crimanl Upper is easy and dishes a lot of dirt, speaking of which on knockdown he can get straight up and throw dirt as you like a counter! lol Im rubbish at FADC-ing, never did that with Abel so it's new to me. So I'm gonna concentrate on getting my execution on tap which means loads of training mode and good old endless battles with you guys
My stick is dying too, its dropping inputs and last night it locked in the down position. None of the buttons worked and I had to unplug it and back in again. I've had since launch and used for over 800 hours of SF4 so if it dies I wont be surprised.
Yupyupno, your Yun is great. You should use his dive kick as a cross up with characters that have poor wake up like Abel. Not a Zerling has probably the best reactions and zoning I've seen online, very hard to penetrate his defence and like everyone else has said he adjusts quickly. We played about 10 games I think and it was about even win/loss.
Then OMH (should be called OMG) came along and blew me away with his B+ Oni. Very aggressive in your face type game with a couple of killer combos that do way too much damage it's not fair! He never dropped a combo and Im sure some are 1 frame links too! I've messaged to ask if I can put some of our games on Youtube. We played about 15 games in total and I won about 3. I was kinda getting frustrated and started jumping in to meet a HP SRK > FADC > Ultra lucky me lol And then theres the s.lp's into those combos.. those combos! arrrgh I'll be having nightmares about them, I totally didn't know what to do. Picture this scenario:
He jumps in with HK and I block --> He then uses cr.lp to hit confirm --> if it hits he proceeds with that meaty combo if not hel backdash.. wtf am I supposed to do!? I tried step kicking when he backdashes but his dash is so that he can block it
If I do EX TT and it works its only because ive guessed right. I think people have underestimated Oni, he is defo a high tier character in my books, especially after seeing OMH demonstrating what hes capable of.
Anyhows, nice one for the games people looking forward to many more. Adz I wanna get my revenge after that 5-1 wupping you gave me.
