some guy who used to come on here as "dm" but only when he was drunk from what i gather... he used to brag about all his wealth and rub it in your face if he thought you were poor...

we threw away 3x IBM servers that cost £2,000,000 each... still they were almost a year old... and IBM did ONLY offer £900,000 each for them to take them back...

Why not just start doing work on the side, build up a business going it in your own time. That way you can at least ensure you have some steady stream of income before you pack in your full time job.

I started the same way but decided to continue both employed and self employed. That way, I still have a steady income to fall back on.

I missed that post. I don't think he did, and to be fair if you've worked that hard and risked that much to get where he is, a little bragging is acceptable IMO.

They wouldn't. If there was a genuine buyback offer of £900k, no company would throw them away. Even if it meant destroying the storage seperately.
