Is Wukong good? Is he worth buying? I've heard there's other similar champs that do the job better? I've got 6500 to spend

I loved him to be honest, one of my fav champs.

Many a game have I got 10 + kills, 0 deaths and 10 + assists, his ulti is team fight changing imo.
 
Just finished a game with some guys i know, one couldnt connect due to his isp messing up. Ended up winning 4 vs 5 :p

Winning 4v5 early is surprisingly easy as you get a huge level advantage to begin with. So long as your bot lane doesn't get raped you can get quite the advantage. Problem comes when your opponents realise this and just start 5manning everything.

I honestly think there are better champs currently that fit his place in a lineup and it might be worth waiting until they fix his armour reduction bug in the next patch which should help a lot. He's not bad but in the current meta you sorta only really have a place solo top where you'll meet lots of irelias, jarvs or second APs which can bully you about a bit. If you go 2 top I guess you'd probably be OK but depends on what you plan to do etc... Helps a lot if you have a good amu initate and followup like an ol' fashioned tibbers/sona so you can wreck them. If you lack a lot of CC though you're going to get munched inside a second, no one falls for the "oh he stopped moving" trick in my experience.

I was against a WuKong solo lane last night, I was Yorick. WK got fb on me and I was annoyed - was my own silly mistake and he survived with 50hp. I then evened the score when the jungler helped gank him. After that WuKong didn't pose any threat to me what so ever. He was basically free farm for me.

With that said he built WK pure DPS, when I play WK I do very well normally, I build him tanky DPS and can pretty much take on most champions in a 1v1 (granted I know this game is not based around a 1v1 scenario) and in team fights I feel he brings a lot to the team with his ulti, it really is fight changing in my opinion.

I'm glad I got him, I rarely use him now even though he is good. I do also agree Irelia, J4 might be a better choice but it depends on play style, WuKong is a really good champ and if played right can beat Irelia/Jarvan in solo lane.

Took 45 minutes to finish the game, so wasnt really an early win =P
 
Well after my friend won 2 ranked games in a row ( and he is terribad! ) I thought I'd try ranked again... I lost my first 5 games so I had 5 more placement matches, I won all 5 tonight! Couldn't believe I managed to win 5 ranked games in a row! So that put me at 1207 ELO. Enjoying ranked games and met a few people tonight who I would duo queue with again :)
 
I prefer the way ranked games form up and hopefully they will move that over to the normal games. If people didn't take this all so seriously i'd play more ranked. Always happy to play it though :)

Solo ranked has been awful for me just recently. I first pick mumu for jungle, 2 other people pick junglers saying 'omg mumu noob jungle'. Obviously I queue dodge. I then play 3 games and I'm subjected to some of the worst players in the history of LoL. I've gone from 1423 to less than 1200 in 3 days. I cannot catch a win at all.
 
Yea' Tals I know what you mean mate, well if you ever want to duo queue then feel free to give me a shout mate.

@Deiwos also - Yea I can feel your pain, I've said it before but one of my ranked games I was Sona and a duo queue refused to split up so I had to solo lane as Sona....

Again echoing what Tals said played a game last night we were 20 kills in front and a guy on our team was flaming because we were all solo players no one had a starks and only I had a frozen mallet...

Crystalline Exoskeleton: Skarner gains a shield and while the shield persists his movement speed and attack speed are both increased.
Fracture: Skarner summons a blast of crystalline energy which deals damage to enemies struck and marks them. Any further damage dealt to marked targets by Skarner will allow him to consume the mark to heal himself.

As of tomorrow I'll have very, very limited access to computers as I am moving to Prague. Once I've got an apartment sorted there (need a job first) I'll be getting my main PC posted over, but that might not be for quite a long time.. And honestly, I'll be living in a new country, meeting people, etc. I doubt I'll have much time for LoL.

Its been fun though, you guys on Mumble have made LoL for me without a shadow of a doubt. Hopefully I'll be back on soon at some point, but for now.. Adventure awaits :D

I also might well be back within the month with my tail between my legs and no money left with nothing to do but play LoL at my mums house :( Hopefully though, that wont happen - All depends on finding a job quick.

Cant believe they buffed Tryndamere and Yorrick! Ok only slight ones but still! Not complaining though I am playing a fair bit of Trynda recently so suits me just fine.

Also not forgetting the new gameplay footage of the Dominion mode/map


looks like so much fun! :)
