Ok. So if arming the Police and making a deterrent that way is out, whats the solution. Cos sure as hell having the police stand behind a little riot shield and watching whats going on sure isnt working.

There needs to be a decent deterrent. If thats not fear of personal injury, or being locked up for a long time if caught (which isnt going to happen), then we arent left with much.

ANyone see Darkus Howe on BBC News this morning, being asked about the riots. He said it was because black people are abused and search continuously, (which I can only imagine is because it always seem through the media that most gun crime is black related)
He then decided to say it was justified, so the news lady said well you yourself have been in riots. He went mental, tell her to apologise for being so rude, and that she had insulted him heavily.

Was pretty funny to watch.

Amazing isn't it? They cannot even spell. All that has done is highlight the sort of people involved in this ridiculous behaviour.

It may have been to begin with, what's going on now is way beyond that, it's just people taking advantage of the situation and in turn escalating it.

No. Its over scumbags with no respect for the police, the environment they live in, or their fellow residents trying to stick it to the man and get some free stuff out of it at the same time.
 
Well, it's not the rubber bullets we all wanted but 16,000 officers should squash the riot numbers a bit more than on previous nights.

Though I fear they will just keep moving to different places and the police will get stretched thin again.

Riot cleanup, seems like hundred if not thousands of people in affected areas all sweeping up.
Why not stay there with your brooms, when the knuckle dragging apes come back tonight to 'teef' another pair of nikes, they'll be outnumbered with people armed with broom handles.
 
My girlfriend lives in Ladbroke Grove (yes, I know :rolleyes:) her housemate just called her to say that there's a pack of baboons running down the main road armed with machetes kicking windows. She's safe at her office and I'm going down to pick her up at three and bring her and her housemate here to my place. It's ape and animal free where I live.
