hi guys,

not often i venture into here but here goes....

for various reasons i am after a second hand Jap pickup (will be a working vehicle)

thinking something like a double cab Mitsubishi Warrior.

is this the make i should be going for? am i wrong in thinking Jap cars like this will run and run? should i be looking elsewhere. maybe an old short wheel base defender???

am hoping to spend no more than 5k.

can you guys give me some pointers?

thanks

g

Try and buy one that's not been previously used by tradesman else they're battered to ****.

I used to drive an 06 new shape warrior, it was all electric inside, my dad has the older shape which he prefers but the interior looks much older.

If it's to be a working vehicle do you really need the double cab option? Single cabs will have more load space and be significantly cheaper for the same age and condition.

My dad has a Navara and uses it daily, not a bad vehicle but he want a Hilux but waiting list was months. The reviews for the Mitsubishi weren't great at the time and the towing ability was not as good as the other 2.

thanks guys. will take a look at the Navara and Hilux.

take your point re double cab, but will need it from time to time.

thx

The seating in the rear of the Navara is not very comfortable as there is little foot well. Fine for shortish trips but I wouldn't want to spend too long in there.

are you talking king or crew cab, the full cew cab is fine. It's no limo but generous for what it is
