Nottingham Riots?

Haven't heard any solid confirmations of anything major happening in Nottingham. A few chavs tried to start around Vicky Center last night, and back of Broadmarsh earlier but from what I know it's been quelled.

Most likely safe to go out -- you're unlikely to be caught up in a rioting mob, but be extra wary of swaggering chavs out with a chip on their shoulders.

well some things have gone off in bulwell aswell matalan and other places argos.

Not according to Nottinghamshire Police on twitter about an hour ago ...

Following speculation, Nottinghamshire Police confirm there are no incidents of violent disorder in Bulwell

Passed through Nottingham from the station up to Hyson Green this evening and everything looked normal all the way up. In fact it was quite amusing listening to conversations on the tram along the lines of "X says ABC shop has been looted and on fire", two minutes later, "Just had a call from Y, she's in ABC shop and it's all fine".

Couldn't even hear any sirens from anywhere else in the city.

I've heard from a dubious source that they are smashing up Leicester, Nowt on the news or owt though.

I work in Leicester and live in Nottingham, and we got told that the trouble in Leicester was predicted to start around 5pm in the centre so they advised use to go home early.

Nottingham is fine as far as I can see, no trouble so far, last night it jsut affected the scummy area, but they should definately enforce the law more. I'm surprised they haven't introduced a cerfew in certain parts of the country.

anyone wanting to know whats going on in Nottingham (nothing atm) the police are using @nottspolice and trending #nottspolicelatest

Quote from Nottingham Police themselves...

"At this stage officers are not being deployed to The Met in light of the incidents in Nottingham overnight."

Though they don't expect any further trouble..
