Macbook Pro 15" - Do I need one?

The GPU won't make any noticeable difference for photoshop, but having more RAM will. My 13" 2011 MBP with onboard GPU manages photoshop just as well as my iMac.

Hardrive:

Well ordered this today:
15"
2.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Glossy Widescreen Display
Backlit Keyboard (British) & User's Guide (English)
Accessory Kit

I opted for the high-res screen and the 7200rpm 500gb, instead of the 5400rpm 750GB.

I didn't want to get the 17" is as I would like some portability.

I have the same model has Vita but I didn't make any changes to the default build. So glass screen and 750gb 5400 rpm harddrive

How do you find it? Don't you find the 1440x900 resolution to be small for a 15"?

I have that on my 17" and it goes well, but I'd like a higher res screen.

I think the fonts in OSX make the standard res look worse than it actually is. My sister's 15.4" windows laptop with the same res looks quite a bit better. Personally I think the HR-AG looks fantastic and wouldn't want to go back to anything lower.

The res seems fine to me. I do connect it to my 1080p TV if I want a bigger screen and higher res. I mainly do thatto enjoy movies.

MBP's are built and sent from China right? Just wondering as they've shipped mine and tracking number says it's in Shanghai.

Nice, you'll love it, mint bit of kit. Love mine but I got the standard res and that looks great so guessing the high-res will be sweeet.

Last night I missed a 15" i7 8gb, 128gb ssd + 750gb 7200rpm (obtibay), 330m, 1650x1050 res screen, Lion + Windows 7 dual boot, in brilliant condition for £1,100 >.<
