Nah. Nothing they could have done yesterday. The scale of the riots took them completely unawares, as did the hit and run manner of the looting, but maybe they could have done more to predict it.
 
I don't get why rioters are treated differently than common criminals, if someone commits a crime then the police should go and arrest them, if other rioters attack the police trying to arrest someone then even more police should come and arrest those as well, they should chase individuals down until they get them there and then!
 
I know this will unfortunately sound racist, but this is purely an objective observation that I want to mention. Can someone from the it's-not-a-colour issue brigade tell me why for every 1 or 2 or 3 white looters and rioters that I can definitely see in pics or video clips, I can always see far more black looters and rioters visible, ie, it's always about 10:3 ratio. I don't see anything even remotely approaching a 50/50 split. So how does one explain that?

Are people really going to tell me I'm blind and they see equal amounts of both because if so, I must be watching the wrong story.

Quite clearly there is a problem with the youth in London. The majority happen to be black, I don't think that they're rioting because they're black though but there are obviously deeper rooted problems somewhere.

If only it happened sooner. We have the technology these days to allow meetings to take place pretty much instantly. If anything the looting etc will spread beyond London as it looks like most of the ****holes have been looted already?

no but they have 16 000 police out tonight, rioters are mixed in with normal people so your face is coved your a rioter and get arrested/ hit with a police stick. if your face is not covered and your rioting there is evidence against you and they will come and get you.

London is still too big for 16000 people.
