Ahleckz your cuddle is discriminatory and I don't like this aspect of your posting.

Harriet Harman talking about the black and Asian victims but when when talking about the perpetrators, there is no mention of their skin colour.

Shameful points scoring.

Do I really have to say it again?

It's not the first time you've come out with this as a reply in this thread - as though your opinion on these matters is to be accepted as the one true piece of wisdom in a whole ****storm of everyone else's nonsense.

Please point us to this "research" and "past experience" you talk about.

In my opinion your theory is massively flawed. You've got you're arguments completely the wrong way round. These people who are rioting in London have no real goals other than mayhem and self gratification. They are not struggling against oppression, corruption or anything else for that matter.

They have no real reason to be there, they aren't fighting for a cause. In cases like this a little pain administered by the skin-tearing blast of a water cannon or a nice rubber bullet to the face is infinitely more likely to put an end to the behaviour and quell the "uprising" than it ever would were it to happen, say, in Egypt, Syria, or Libya where people are actually fighting for freedom and livelihoods.

Once these scumbags realise that a free pair of Nike Air from JD sports equates to a burst eyeball then they'll stop rioting and go back to just being useless wasters instead of destructive useless wasters.

A water cannon is not going to work for an Egyptian whose brother was tortured to death by a corrupt police state and who is happy to walk headlong into a hail of bullets to make a stand for his freedom. I guarantee you it WILL work for a meathead chav who's just out to get a free IPhone 4 or to smash some **** up.

Point me to this research you talk about and I'll happily read it and take it into consideration, but I doubt it really exists.

why does everyone feel the need to video everything???????

I'm glad they are because the media are seemingly incapable of getting to areas quickly enough to cover things as they happen, only afterwards. Most of the interesting/incriminating video footage has come from normal people, not professional journalists/camera people.

You aint paying attention to the whole thread.

Do you even know how the riots started?

I live in London, I've paid complete attention to the entirety of the rioting since it started.

I know the areas, I know the attitude of the kids involved in the looting, I've seen the text messages and calls to loot that have gone around amongst the youth in the many communities within the Greater London area. I understand policing, I know how things escalated and why they escalated.

I can tell you categorically that the only relationship that the mass looting has with the shooting of Marc Duggan is that police are distracted, the opportunity is there and the first example of this started from a violent group of scum assaulting police in Marc's name after the initially peaceful protest.

That was days ago. Yesterday the events had even less to do with Marc Duggan and even more to do with scum who want to 'get paid', 'get rich' and take advantage of the police being 'unable to stop us'.

It's become lawless and that means people start to take advantage.

TBF normal media are being attacked so you can't blame them for steering clear. Our inner cities are more dangerous than war zones it seems.

Good call as Forbidden Planet must be protected at all costs.

I go past there every day on the way to work, if you turned 180 from where that picture is taken you head down London Road where lots of the trouble was last night and just to the left of where that picture was taken an electronics store had its windows put in but weirdly lots of the other stores were completely undamaged.
