My opinion is that probably 70%- 80% of the population wouldn't mind if the police started using rubber bullets & water cannons on these idiots (myself included).

We should send over the police from northern ireland, theyve got a few water cannons going spare, plus theyre pretty handy with the baton rounds, theyve not got much to do here now as the marching season is winding down.

Jean Charles de Menezes, he was killed 2 weeks after 7/7, when there was a failed suicide bombing, because they thought he was another suicide bomber so they shot him in the head to "stop" him from blowing his bomb up. But he didn't have a bomb.

7/7 was something 2 generations of people had never experienced. the whole city was terrified and the police on high alert. a suspicous man is asked to stop but he doesn't stop, he runs onto a crowded train with a back-pack. and he gets shot! quelle surprise!

Gun does not = must die.

Firstly, he did not fire the weapon.

Secondly, given that the weapon was "discovered at the scene" after he was shot, we can take from this that the weapon was not produced.

Therefore only him reaching for the weapon should have resulted in the Police firing. He wasn't Neo. With their weapons drawn they could have shot him three or four times before he got close to his weapon.
