Its probably at 16000 for a reason, so then they get some rest and the others come on, it would be a logistical nightmare and very stupid to send all of them out.

A lot of them are already doing 24hr+ shifts, sleeping for an hour or two then going back out again. Admirable job they're doing even though I've not really been agreeing with the tactics they are being told to deploy.

That's admirable but what I really mean is that it's neither their or any single community's job to protect phones being stolen from CPW; this is the job of the state and nobody should put their own lives or encourage others to put their lives at risk unnecessarily.

I whole heartedly agree. From what I have seen they are only protecting their religious centres and people. Not shops/businsses, items can be replaced - live cannot.

Not really, if they had done this last night they wouldn't need 16000 police officers on the streets tonight. Oh and also, it's not over yet so way too early for this sort of comment.
