Im looking at building a pc for friend that has to be around £300 and able to play black and white 2 dawn of war 2, crysis 2 at a push. Any help from you all would be very much appreciated and thanks in advance.

I think you will be better looking second hand if you want decent gaming performance including monitor and keyboard for that kind of budget

You really are going to get something miserable for £300 that needs a monitor and keyboard also.

Its a pity you cant afford a i3 2100 and a discrete graphics card such as a ATI 5770 as that would be great.
 
Does your friend have an XBox 360 or PS3?? Crysis 2 was released for them. It doesn't look as nice as the PC version but this would be the cheapest way to play Crysis 2 IMHO.
 
Yeah your looking at used (or mainly used) parts for a £300 budget WITH a monitor.

Considering a decent monitor is £100+, youll be very hard pushed for a £200 PC build.
